However, honey also contains water, and water-based ingredients can present challenges when combined with fats like tallow. In oil-based products, water can shorten the shelf life by encouraging bacteria or mold growth unless you use preservatives. This doesn’t align with our philosophy of keeping things natural and pure. Additionally, honey in a fatty base can cause separation over time, changing the texture and effectiveness of the product.
At No Bull Tallow, we want to ensure that our customers receive the purest, most stable products without needing to add synthetic preservatives. That’s why we focus on ingredients with exceptional shelf stability—like tallow and lanolin—which can keep our products fresh and effective for 12 to 18 months, or longer, when stored properly.
Our star ingredient is grass-fed and finished tallow for a reason. Tallow has a molecular composition that’s remarkably similar to the oils and fats naturally found in human skin. This makes it incredibly effective at supporting the skin’s natural barrier, locking in moisture, and providing a deeply nourishing experience that goes beyond the surface.
Tallow is rich in vitamins A, D, E, and K, as well as essential fatty acids like palmitoleic acid and stearic acid, which are crucial for skin regeneration and protection.
